Founded in 1974 by its present owner and manager, Charles Steadham, and agent, Allen McCollum, Blade Agency began in Gainesville with one dance band and a commitment to excellence. Today, the company has grown to employ a full office staff with hundreds of artists and thousands of clients. As an associate member of the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP), Blade Agency introduced dozens of artists to the college and community arts council markets.
Steadham and McCollum added artists to the roster as the agency diversified its activities into the corporate and association convention markets. With each event, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence by providing wholesome entertainment intelligently and deliberately selected to fit the needs and goals of each client.

Entertainment Consultant / Owner
For over 35 years, Charles has proudly served the entertainment needs of corporations, associations, arts councils and colleges, booking thousands of shows featuring a diverse array of artists in support of specific mission-critical goals. With each event, he reaffirms his commitment to excellence by providing wholesome entertainment intelligently and deliberately selected to fit the needs and objectives of each individual client.
In parallel with the ongoing successful operation of this full-time consultancy, Charles founded MindSolve Technologies, Inc., in 1997. Serving as the company’s President and Chief Financial Officer, he grew MindSolve from a fledgling software startup to a $5 million company. Along the way, he planned, promoted and produced two very successful International Users Conferences. In November, 2006, these conferences combined with MindSolve’s best-of-breed patented technology resulted in the company’s acquisition by SumTotal Systems, Inc. – a publically traded Silicon Valley based Talent Management Company.
With personal access to over 6,500 artists from virtually every artistic discipline, Charles takes great pride in applying his talent and resources to creating and facilitating memorable experiences for his clients and their special guests.
