Originally from Philadelphia, she started singing at age 7 and joined
her first band at 14. After attending the University of Cincinnati and
Kansas College, she started touring the US and Canada with her own
band. In 1980 she settled in Orlando and performed for 6 years in the
areas top nightspots. This is where she was discovered by Joe Sample
of the Jazz Crusaders. In 1986 she was the featured vocalist with the
Jazz Crusaders singing "Street Life" and "Burning up the Carnival".
In 1987 she moved to LA where she worked with Tight Squeeze and
did session work for Jeff Perris, Polygram, Evan Pace, Chrysalis and
Barry Fosman who produced the Music for "Fame". Randie has
appeared on numerous CD's. Producer Michael Franklin calls her "my
secret weapon".
